It was the worst natural disaster to
strike Pakistan since Oct 2005. It occurred at 02:01pm on 26 Oct,
2105 with a magnitude of 7.7. Its epicenter was near to Pak-Afghan
border in the northern part of Pakistan.
The earthquake triggered an avalanches and land slide on the high mountains of
Pakistan in North. Karakorum High way is also blocked by the land slide.

Media
However the earthquake is natural phenomenon, on the other hand
media is forwarding news without much reference to tangible references making
it more drastic and horrible. I just seen a news regarding to Danyor
Bridge. The Anchor was saying that the bridge which connects this place to other
parts of country is destroyed and the local population in the town is no more
in direct contact with the other parts of country. Meanwhile it is a foolish
and big blander of the new Anchor. This news made me angry.
The bridge which they were showing in TV was the old
suspension bridge that is now only used by bikes and to walk. There are two new bridges, were constructed about
0.36 and 4.26 km away from that old suspension bridge. And even that bridge is
not collapsed some stones with lose material fell down from the slope because of the shock and the
bridge is still working.

Media should play a positive role. Media has several other
ways to help people. In such disasters people always need their help either
they are victims of that event or not. Victims need to be rescued and the
helper should know the location and condition of needier. So media can play the
role of conductor between them but now media is not doing its job they are only
advertising their own channel. They are showing the drastic events like land
sliding, building collapse and then they says like this “ Ooo…this is the
exclusive recording only we have and we are the first to show this….see it how
the land is sliding towards the local settlements.…..” this is a big shit of media now.
Media what you are doing. Is it a job for which you are
specialized…..!
Victims and Government
Victims and Population
affected by the earthquake has to rebuild them self "God help those who help them-self" and they should not relay
on Government of Pakistan because Disaster Management Authority of Pakistan is
not active till and we have seen the victims of Balakot earthquake Oct 2005 are
still spending their life in tents and even many of them didn't found a single
shelter, Gov. departments are not serious to rehabilitate the victims
of 2005. So poor population of KPK and GB has to rehabilitate them self. Government authorities have learnt no lesson from the 2005 earthquake. Government has only to protect their own constitution
so called the Ieen-e-Pakistan and its foolish articles.

Nepal Earthquake April, 2015
Land shaking is really horrible. I experienced it in Nepal
Earthquake, April 2015. I was in Bakhtapur Darbar-square it's one of the most affected place by shocks in Nepal. Thousands of houses were destroyed across the country, with
entire villages flattened, especially those near the epicenter Like Gorkha,
Pull Chowk, Langtang, Bakhtapur etc. People of Nepal acknowledged the aid and
effort put by the world community, yet, at the same time, they accused Indian
news channels for their same behavior which I have seen today in Pakistani
media. Mean to say that media should play good role and Governments should take care of their citizens.
